Happy birthday, JULIA!
Good Morning, Sunshine! Actually, she called me from her bedroom and said "Should I stay in bed and wait for you or what?" I guess I was running a few minutes late for her birthday breakfast "surprise." I asked her to hold tight.

Crepes with banana and custard and one with banana and Nutella. Her annual request.

Grandpa Larry and Grandma Ginger were in town for her birthday festivities and went to watch the lip sync assembly at the school.

The girls performed "Let's Hear it For the Boy." (Video coming later, I hope.) Her day continued with a soccer game (Win!) and dinner at Cafe Rio with the family.

The Beehives decorated our front door to celebrate Julia's advancement into Young Women's.

They made this adorable and clever card for her.

One happy girl, but one sad mama that her baby is growing up!

Parent's Dance Night

Parent's Dance Night at school was a success and Morgan put on his dancing shoes and gave his daughter a whirl around the floor. The best part was the electric slide because I tore it up. Of course there are no pictures of me to prove it.

Daddy and daughter.

Frosty

Liam LOVES to eat snow. It's kind of a problem.

Hugs surprisingly loves the snow, being from Vegas and all.

Liam is trying to eat the snowman. That's not much of a surprise since he's pretty much a snow addict.

That kid consumes more snow than not.

Proud builders.

Good job, kiddos!

6th Grade Valentine Dance

It's the "most embarrassing" day of 6th grade, according to the students. But the 6th grade Valentine Dance is one of the best days to volunteer in the school for the parents. The kids had a dance card they had to fill out and everyone line danced, partner danced and boogied to the music. We had chocolate fountains,
goodies and pink soda.

Don't worry honey, the boys will get taller. I promise.

Skiing Debut

After 6 lessons, Liam soared down the mountain like a pro with NO edgy wedgie! Way to go!

I'm Four!

I just found this video of Liam at Legoland last summer when I was teaching him that he was actually "4" for just the day so he could go on all the big rides. I'm not sure if that makes me a good mom or a bad mom?

Katie's 8!!

There was a special little place for the tiny kids to jump. Connor can jump for HOURS without stopping...

Then Vicki took him on some of the GIANT slides and he screamed the whole way down. Happy screams, of course...

Liam was in heaven. When they pulled up, he said "I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!" Even though he'd never been there before...

Connor finally got tired and started laying down a lot...

This might have been Katie's favorite birthday party ever...

Christmas 2010

The 2010 tree was tall and skinny, our favorite kind.

The traditional run through the courtyard to the kitchen for Christmas breakfast. This keeps the kids from walking through the living room and seeing their presents before breakfast. Grandma has been up waiting for these chickens to wake up. Can you see her face in the background?

Julia trying to sneak a peak into the living room to spy the goods. Naughty.

Waiting for the big reveal.

Happily waiting...

Grandpa showed Liam that Santa ate one of the cookies and drank the milk!

Proudly showing off his Star Wars treasure.

Grandma pointing to Grandpa as she is about to open his present. She has an inkling as to what it may be.

The kids were very excited Santa brought them the Hospital Playmobile. That was a winner, Santa.

Reflections Winner

Olivia won first place in the Literature division for Reflections at school. She wrote a poem titled "Together We Can", which was the theme of this year's contest.

Together We Can…

Take care of our neighbors when they are alone,

Water gardens at an elderly person’s home.

Help our friends when they are hurt,

Tell a friend, “Hey I like your skirt!”

Not litter trash on the ground,

Pay attention to all the garbage around.

Rake up leaves that are all over swirled,

Together we can help clean up the world!
