Disneyland '10

Here are some highlights from our annual Disneyland trip this year:

I think this might be our first ever picture at the entrance.

Walking into the park bright and early, Olivia and Julia each grabbed Charlie's hands.

The first big drop on Pirates of the Caribbean. Eric is holding onto Charlie as if he's going to fly out and Laura's got his hand. Olivia looks nervous, huh?

Olivia and Lauren in their Minnie Mouse shirts.

Grandpa willingly went on Splash Mountain with me, Olivia and Julia. This is my favorite ride. Grandpa got really wet down his legs. He protected us girls because we hardly got a drop.

I had to talk Olivia on to Thunder Mountain, which happens to be Grandpa Larry's favorite ride. She looks a little unsure here when the ride started.

Grandpa loving it, Olivia not.

Liam was having a blast on Thunder Mountain!

Olivia doesn't like it so much, but she hung in there.

She was not happy.

Olivia gave me a (fake) smile after it was all over.

Max and Julia.

Olivia on the carousel, one of her favorites.

Liam on a horsey.

Lauren waiting for it to start.

Liz and Lauren on Dumbo. The longest line in the whole park, with the shortest ride. That's why it's called DUMBo.

These two little chickens talked Liz and me into the teacups. I hadn't been on them for years.

Spinning 'round and 'round.

Happiest place on earth.

Marianne came in the evening and you can see her peeking at me from her car on Autopia. The gas pedals take massive leg strength to keep pushed down, and I ain't no weakling. I don't like this ride because of it. It's the kid's favorite, just like it was mine when I was little.

Perfect hand positioning. What you can't see is my long leg that hardly fits inside the car, straddled over to Olivia's side pushing down on the gas pedal, with all my might.

Tyler, Olivia and Lauren.

Max trying to be gangstah.

He can't hide his smile for very long.

These two whipper snappers took off on their own most of the day. I never thought I'd see the day when I let my child go off at Disneyland alone. They had a blast!

I hope they had a cell phone. How fun for the cousins to enjoy a day together at Disneyland.
